I love stuttering. I love to stutter. I love talking about stuttering, I love teaching about stuttering, and I love to support people who stutter and their families. I have known many people who stutter, and they are brave, and resilient. However, many people who stutter do not engage with life in they way would like to because of the fears and anxieties that they experience. I experienced this well into my 20s. I have since transformed my own fear and anxiety about speaking into something I love doing- being the best version of me that I can. Alyssa (Aly) Vildósola, M.A., CCC-SLP
Aly is a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about supporting people who stutter and their families. Growing up in Wisconsin, Texas, and eventually on Long Island, New York, she developed a strong interest in the different ways people communicate and how differences impacted their lifestyle choices. Aly pursued a B.A. in Cognitive Science/Educational Studies at Carleton College in Minnesota before heading to Colorado to earn an M.A. in speech-language pathology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She moved to California to continue chasing her westward dreams. In addition to working for SFSFC, she works at an elementary school in the East Bay, lives in the South Bay, and participates in events for children and adults who stutter throughout the Bay Area. Aly is known for her accents, running too many miles, and her unconcealed enthusiasm for spending time with her husband “Bemmy” and dog Noki.
